Slovaks are social and affectionate people who feel the best at good celebrations and fun gatherings with great food, nice music and, of course, among friends and acquaintances.

In Canada, we do not have many opportunities for such get-togethers, but when we organize one, it is truly a great event that even attract the ordinary Canadians from far and wide to come and join the Slovaks.

The best of the best events are the Slovak days that we organize every year in major centers of Slovak communities in Canada. All include a rich cultural program and games for the kids.

We hope that you did not miss the best there is in Slovak Canada. The largest Slovak Day in Toronto was on Sunday July 15. In Montreal, the community met on July 29, and on August 19 there were the Slovak Day in Ottawa and in Toronto the Slovak Family Day. All events were sucessful as you can see from reports in another section of our website.

The Canadian Slovak has one of the most visited websites in the Slovak diaspora. If you click on the Contact section, in the middle of the page on the left you will see how many visitors our website has at any given moment. At peak times we have already seen more than three thousand, and your number is increasing. We are visited on average from 40 countries around the world, of course, most from Canada and Slovakia.
